Shaa’srk’a Transit–offers demand responsive, fixed route, and route deviation services through the public transportation services within the reservation and service area. Services are from 6:30am to 5:30pm, Monday thru Friday. Fees for services range from .50 to .75 for children, elders, adults and persons with Disabilities. Free services are available for eligible Dialysis clients through Laguna Medical Transportation program (LMT).

Route Deviation services: Are services that will pick you up at your home if you are within ¾ mile of the fixed route stop in your area. Services must be requested ONE day in advance and confirmation made. Call the Transit office at 552-9850 for personal information and assistance.
Fares are doubled for route deviation services: Children, Elders & Disabled-$1.00, Adults-$1.50. Please be ready ahead of your pick-up time. Transit cannot wait more than 1 minute.
Fares: Adults- .75, Elders-.50, Children- 0-3 years-FREE, 4-17 years-.50, Persons with Disablities-.50. For multiple stops locally on demand responsive add-on fare is .25 per stop. Route Deviation fare is double the fixed route fare. 24hour advance notice is required for deviation services. A fixed route “token” will be given when the full round trip is paid up front at the beginning of the ride.

Accessibility
Shaa’srk’a transit is accessible to persons with disabilities. Our buses and vans are equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps that enable persons in wheelchairs or persons who cannot navigate steps to ride the bus. Buses have priority seating for persons with disabilities. Operators are trained to assist riders and secure wheelchairs. Wheelchair must be secured to be transported.
You may travel with your respirator, concentrator, and portable oxygen. Service animals are welcome onboard buses and vans. (They must be kept under the control of the passenger at all times.)
Reasonable Modification Policy
Passengers with disabilities may request modifications to current service procedures to access the service. To make a request, please call us at (505) 552-9850 or email us at POL_Transit@lagunapueblo-nsn.gov.
Passengers making requests are not required to use the term “reasonable modification.”
Requests should be made at least the day before but flexibility is required for on the spot requests. The transit manager will review all requests and provide the determination. For on-the-spot requests, the driver should contact dispatch. Dispatch will contact the transit manager.
Documentation will be maintained regarding the request and the resulting action taken.
Shaa’srk’a transit will not charge additional fees for passengers requiring reasonable modifications.
