Department Overview:

Mission
To provide a multi-purpose space to coordinate all venues, to promote public and private events for wellness, cultural preservation, performing arts, for all ages.

The scope of work is to provide ongoing venues that promote overall wellness, culture preservation, promotion of visual and performing arts and Artisans, and facilitates community wide public events, programs and activities for tribal community members and surrounding communities. Fee schedules for user fees of space are established for tribal membership, programs and other public users. The operational plan delineates procedures and uses of the facility. Requests for use are made through the completion of the K’awaika Center Use Agreement form. Coordination and scheduling of events is completed through the CHW Department. Payment and collection of all fees is made through the POL accounting office process.

Public use areas designated in 2005 are West Conference (Cafeteria), Theater, Gallery (old Library), East Conference Room (old band room); Courtyard, specified classrooms.

Programs/Events:

  • Events coordinated and booked upon completion of use application and payment of minimal use fees.
  • Fee schedules provided. Tribal member special rates apply.
  • Offering State of the art video viewing equipment.
  • Long term lease space available with a lease agreement.
  • Conference and meeting space available.
  • Space available for receptions, parties, fundraising, workshops and special events.

Call for  “Calendar of Events” for venues and events scheduled at the K’awaika Center.
Look for free “Movie Nights” held as scheduled at the theater.

Watch for many community events!
Rent space for your birthday parties, receptions, dances and family reunion events.
Reasonable pricing and own catering, food support allowable.
